Party fare for 6-7 year olds, anything a bit more interesting than just crisps sandwiches?

Given many home parties in past. Feel a bit depressed by usual spread. Party 2.30-4.30. Any advance on crisps, fairy cakes, sausages, cherry toms, cucumber, carrot sticks and ham/cheese sandwiches? Party theme is Indiana Jones/Wild West.

pizza slices, quiche, cheese cube, dips... I used to be like you as I enjoy catering but IME it makes no difference to the children at that age - you are probably best putting your energy in to something else!!

mini pizzas made with half a muffin, cheese, ham, peppers, corn?

Some dip to go with carrot sticks? Also bread sticks?

Fruit and marshmallow 'kebabs'? Or chocolate dipped fruit?

Oh and fairy bread is a must of course (bread with butter and 100s and 1000s - Aussie kids party favourite).

What about some little cheese and ham/cheese and veg pasties?

We did a party last weekend (we are entertainers) and hot dogs and pizza went down really well and was ultra simple for the mum. There were also a few bowls of crisps put out and packets of mini rolls/fairy cakes.
