idea needed for my DS's 1st birthday party in a dilemma

hey, i need some help to thing of a good theme for my DS's first birthday party. its in 7 weeks time, and i had decided on a jungle theme as his nursery is all jungle and he has loads of jungle toys. problem is he went to his next door neighbours 1st party yesterday and he had a jungle theme so am worried she'll think i'm copying even though i've wanted to do jungle for ages.

i've thought of teddy bears picnic but Hubby doesnt like that one, he likes pirates but i think this is too old for a 1st birthday.

can anyone give me any other suggestions or should i just stick with jungle

I don't think a 1 year old really understands about birthdays so just decide what suits you as grownups. If you fancy jungle go for it, it wouldn't have to be identical to your friend's one anyway

WHat about an animals party? Kind of a bit like jungle but no risk of seeming like copying? Maybe you shoudl pop and see your neighbour - she'll prob find it amusing and tell you to go for it¬=!

Or a colour theme?

Have lots of fun!

Do a jungle theme, just use different jungle stuff from the range your neighbour used.

There are plenty of jungle-themed ranges out there (most of which are actually savannah-themed in terms of the actual anmals involved ) so this or this or this, this or this for example and there's no need to duplicate what your neighbour had.

What about a rainforest theme?
