5-year old car themed party - any ideas

Hello

I've got 4 five-year olds, plus little brothers/sisters (aged 2) coming for a car themed party for my 5 year old son. any tips to make it as fun as possible for children who aren't nuts about cars...? I've read the US website that has lots of tips on parties, they all seem to require a lot of room for children to race around or refer to games/products that I'm not familiar with...

thanks for any experiences that worked out.

adapt some traditional games - eg pin the exhaust on the car? borrow extra ride ons for the bigger ones to have a race if enough room? Craft activity eg decorate a party box to look like a garage and then have a little car in the going home box?
