Tesco, Asda and Sainsburys deliver them with your on-line shopping if you grocery shop on line.

Bake one. It's not difficult.

nailpolish · 23/01/2009 14:44

bake your own
youll be so glad you did

misscathcart · 23/01/2009 14:47

I was planning to bake one but I have to work extra this week and now dont have the time!
I was going to try something fancy like a teddy or fairy castle. Maybe I'll have to stick to something simple.

just make a sponge ckae and go mad with the decorations

nailpolish · 23/01/2009 14:49

the supermarket ones are so sugary you can feel your teeth disintegrating as you bite into them
make your own!

NotADragonOfSoup · 23/01/2009 14:50

Oh, don't do anything fancy, a 2 year old isn't fussed what it looks like. I made a chocolate fudge cake zebra for DS1's 2nd birthday. I showed it to him, asked him what it was and he said "chocolate cake".

ForeverOptimistic · 23/01/2009 14:50

Waitrose ones are the yummiest! I don't even like birthday cake but I admit to scoffing a couple of slices of ds's.

Greenhalgh's

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 28/01/2009 09:22

if you are near me - I will do you one

I once bought a birthday cake from the local baker's - it was much better than any supermarket one (and far superior to my own efforts)

fufflebum · 29/01/2009 15:01

Local bakers cakes are much nicer if there is one in your area....

SoMuchToBits · 29/01/2009 15:03

I was going to suggest local bakers as well.
