Phew. Today we had our 5 yr old b/g twins' birthday party. 36 kids in a church hall. I was really quite worried about so many kids, but the entertainer we hired was absolutely superb. I can't rate her highly enough. She turned up on time, stayed for the duration of the party, leaving once the last guest had gone. A complete pro. She was really superb at involving all of the children - especially the shy ones. Plus she made a fuss of the birthday boy & girl. She entertained them before and after the birthday meal, bringing them back to the table to sing happy birthday. I'd seen Fizzie Lizzie in action a year or so ago, and thought she was good, but now I realise how completely brilliant she is. We're live in North London but I am pretty sure she travels far and wide. If you've got a big party looming she's the perfect person. I am not sure how you do links but her site is www.fizzielizzie.co.uk
As to party bags, which I've posted about before asking for advice - we went for the party parcel idea. So a little package with a magnet, balloon, funny plastic Woolies (RIP) animal and pack of smarties wrapped up in xmas paper. Seemed to go down ok, esp as a bit different.
My mum plus a couple of the other mums helped out, to whom I am v grateful as without them I don't know what I'd have done, so we were able to give the adults that stayed hot drinks & ginger cake.
No way are we doing it again, but at least they've had their big party once!

Well done! I always feel very relieved when a children's party I've organised goes well. Whether you're doing it all yourself or booking an entertainer/going to a playcentre, it's a huge amount of organising!
