Do I need to do thank you letters for DD's birthday presents from her party?

If so, from her or from me (as clearly I'll be writing them as she's 3).
And do I even have to do a letter to the "friend" who gave her something worth about £3 in the shop which had clearly already been played with (before you ask, yes they could afford a present many times over - sahm with live in house-keeper, full time nanny, gardner etc etc).

Treat every present giver the same It is the thought that counts and wasn't it lovely that the friend tryed out the present first before giving it to your child

I know some poeple really hate it, but I write the letters as if they are from the children. Thanks for coming to my party etc
If you want to save a bit of cash get your little one to make them - do a hand print or something.
Rise above the used gift !!! It's the thought (or lack of it) that counts ! A v.well off friend of mine sent my little one a second hand piece of clothing wrapped up last year....
