What do I do???
We have done craft parties, disco's, glamour ones with nail painting and hair do's. She suddenly seems so old/ sophisticated/ grown up!
Do I go for a real 'let your hair down and pretend you are still small and have fun while you still can', or a grownup boring thing?
And the budget this year is really tight.
We just don't have any ideas!
And it is on the 23rd!

sleepover with dvd rental, popcorn and sweets?

sleepover with 3 or 4 friends, video, ordered in pizza?

I did a 'beauty day' with dd and 2 friends on inset day, facemasks, pedicures, jair styles - they did some themselves on each other - I helped them with some

They loved it.

I did a glow party for my dd when she turned 13 last September.

I was a great success with the girls. Just bought a job lot of glow sticks from ebay, decorated the lounge up with fairy lights. Provided a buffet style eating thing with a chocolate fondue. The girls had the latest dvd on (hired from the library) and had fun with the glow sticks (making jewellery, sticking them in their hair etc).

Dead simple but a roaring success.

that would be hair styles

Hmm... could do if I get rid of dd2 and ds, who are 6 and 10. They kinda want to be involved, but dd can't bear the thought!

like the glow idea, wonder if poundland still have some in!

Did wonder about a 'mamma mia' night as she loves the film

Agree with general consensus -- sleepover, three friends, DVDs, popcorn, assemble own pizzas on pizza bases.

Thanks.
Guess I need to do some housework

Just to add - the glow sticks were about £6.50 for 100 from ebay. (Carnival Supplies)
