Any ideas? My DD is younger. The 10 year old loves art and is pretty good at it.
Thanks...

I recently bought a present for a 10 year old girl who I don't know. I got one of those soft snuggly teddy bears that you heat in the microwave. Apparently she loves it.

Art kit of some kind?

I have an almost 10 year old, and it is such a lovely age. She would be open to almost anything you could give her. We have just had the 'best Christmas ever' according to DD.

loads of art materials on sale in WH Smith at the moment - good quality paper and sketching pencils, watercolour pencils, pastels, even table top easels with acrylic paints - all half price.

Second the microwave snugglies - DD had 2 for her birthday and loves them both.

For art & craft, what about a card making or scrapbooking kit? DD very arty too and would love all that Kbear suggested (even tho she has them all already, can never have too much quality art stuff as far as she is concerned!)

I would second the "quality" art stuff. Dd is 11 and for Christmas had some "good" pencils (grey and coloured), a lovely sketch pad and an introduction to oil pastels set.

thanks all - have been to whs and got an a3 sketch pad and some grown up sketching pencils.
