Games you can play with a parachute

I'm goiing to get one of those play parachutes (quite big) for DS1's birthday party. He'll be 5. Can anyone suggest some good games to play with it?

Shake it then trap edges to ground creating an airbubble dome, let a few climb over and pat the air out. Hold the edges down and sit underneath like a tent. Put balloons or foam balls on the top and and shake them into air.

Ball games, put a ball on it and shake it.

dd2 says "Mushroom" - she says you shake it and one person has to run under it without it hitting them. (Why that's called Mushroom I don't know!)

My dd's used to like playing hedgehogs - one person is "on" and closes their eyes, the others curl up of the floor with their heads tucked in. One child is covered by the parachute and the one who is "on" has to guess which hedgehog is missing.

Cat and mouse.

One mouse crawls around underneath the parachute while the cat crawls around on top trying to trap them.

You can also put some light weight balls on there and try to keep them on for as long as poss.

Of you have enough adults the children can all sit in the middle while the grown ups walk around making the parachute turn.
