I would like to organise a basket of food or the like for her to help through the first week or 2. Any thoughts? It's a relatively new group and this is the first new baby.

Hope this is the right topic!

my baby group really supported me with a new baby. someone gave their second hand coffee pod espresso machine thing-y . i used to plan my whole day around getting myself and the two kids to baby group. Once there, there was always someone to hold the baby. a 'proper' double espresso and the chance to sit like a zombe (or talk to my daughter). Probably a bit irrelevant - unless your freind is as much of a fine coffee fiend as me!

Good ideas! Thank you. Wanted to make life a bit easier for her, as a new baby and a 22 month old ain't easy. Plus her mum lives in the States so doesn't have her mum to help. Not all bad as she has her DH and Mil. But no-one quite like your mum is there!
