Having a small tea party - Magical Creature theme - for 6 5 year old girls on Sun. £ hours. Tea at 4pm then some fireworks and sparklers (with gloves and bucket of water). They arrive at 2pm. DD wants pass the parcel but any other ideas for a couple of gentle but fun games? Do some craft stuff like decorating their own fairy cakes? Pin the horn on the unicorn? Not a big garden so mostly will be inside. Thanks.

£ hours was meant to be 3 hours. But much the same thing.

yes to decorate own fairy cake
yes to pin horn on unicorn

musical statues/bumps/chairs, none need any preparation apart from having music ready and can be spun out for a while if needed. If you want ot fit with the theme could draw 6 unicorns on paper and use those as places on the floor, taking one away each time like musical chairs

disco dancing

print off pics of animals - cut each pic in half - hide one set of halves round the room and give others to the children to find the matching half - could be done in teams, each team has 1 half to find, when bring the whole back to the adult get given next half, and so on. first team to find all pairs the winners

Mine are 10 and still love this game as much as when they first did it when they were 3! Buy some very cheap loo rolls, divide into pairs and get one to wrap the other up as a mummy, give them a time to do it in, its hilarious!
