How long do you take to reply to kids' party invitations?

Whenever I find an invitation in the dcs nusery bags I always reply pretty much straight away as 1) I figure the other mum will want to know and 2) if I don't I'll forget.

I sent a dozen or so invitations out a week ago and about 8 haven't replied. Do you think that means they haven't seen it, don't want to come or haven't made their minds up?

It means that either
A) child has intercepted invite and lost it
B) Nanny has picked up invite and forgotten to pass it on
C) parent has no manners and you will need to chase them.

A week isn't very long to get replies. I often don't reply for a week or two because I often have to check work schedules or if someon else is available to take dd or look after ds (usually grandparents).

I reply straight away if I know we are free.

I think a week is long enough- afterall it's not like you sent out 50+ invites. Like georgiemum I think parents have no manners!
As parents we know how annoying it is to be waiting on other people when trying to arrange a party! Good luck getting all your responses!
