Help! Got to assemble the parcel today for DS's 5th birthday party tomorrow. Don't really want to go down the chocolate/sweetie route but am feeling uninspired and running out of time. Cowboy & Indian theme - but I need to buy today and preferably from a supermarket.

stickers
badges
those horrid tatto things
go-gos
[may not have to be too fussy re theme]
they all want chocolate buttons though

Mini fingers of fudge, or Maoam Stripes Chews, pack quite tidily into a parcel.

They will be disappointed if it's Not Sweets.

Well, mini packs of chocolate buttons it is then - thanks! 20 layers and over an hour later ... still got the cake to ice and the food boxes to assemble tonight. What have I let myself in for?

You could try putting forfeits inbetween the layers. It worked at my DSs party. Things like 'run up and down the stairs', 'recite a nursery rhyme' etc. It makes it more fun and kills a bit of time.
