'Bin' related things for gifts and party ideas

DS who will be two in December is obessed with the dust bins and the bin men. I am now thinking of having a 'bin' themed party . I have bought him this as his birthday present and wondered if anyone had seen anything else. Although he is only 2, I don't want it to be too babyish. I'm very tempted to get him a real wheelie bin (those slim ones) for the garden- so please save me from myself!!

Oh and this is on my list of things too book

DD has just come in and rolled her eyes and said 'are you still looking at bins on Ebay?'

Rubbish collecting game? Lots of scrunches up paper on floor and kids have to pick it all up?

Bin decorating competition?

Just call all of the food stuff like

Bin lorry jelly
Trash sandwiches
bin men juice etc

I think this sounds like a cool odea - much more creative than the norm

My son (2.3yrs) is EXACTLY the same - and has been for about a year. The binmen now wave at him every Thursday morning

Anyway, when it was his 2nd birthday I asked the bin men the week before if DS could come out the following week and pull the lever on the truck to put our bins into it. He was literally beside himself and he loves the photo we took of him doing it. Obviously this depends on how amenable your bin men are but it may be worth asking!

He also has a toy rubbush truck like the one in your youtube link and he absolutely loves it...

My binmen are ace, they wave at him very week and almost piss themselves when he nearly waves himself off the window sill. What a brilliant idea about asking them, I'm sure they'd love it!! Cheers for that.
