My FIL and his GF are finally tying the knot next year, after 30 years of togetherness. He's 70, she's 64.
She has already decided her wants a hen night, basically drinks, dinner and thence onward to playing roulette at her fave casino (she's a bit of a player on the quiet). We (her 4 DILs) think this sounds fine but would like to do something a little special for her as well. She's a v. young 64 and is up for a laugh.
We were thinking (and I'd like your opinions on this - naff, not naff?) that although a strippergram would not be a good idea, it might be nice to get a singing telegram for her - we were thinking bloke in a tuxedo, red rose, Elvis or Frank Sinatra song - just to raise it above what is otherwise a fairly normal night out for her.
So.... has anyone used one before? From googling it appears there are just 3 providers in the London area, one of whom looks like a tiny child (to me at 42, God knows what he'll look like to the MIL!), one of whom is a crooner type, the last an agency that does (quite frankly) bizarrely costumed singers and looks a wee bit on the naff side...
Anyone got any recommendations? Or do you think it's a bit of a crap idea in the first place?
