Halloween party for babies - what can we do?

I've invited my friends and their babies over for a Halloween party at my house.

The babies are between 4 and 7 months. All still on milk or barely weaned, so themed food is out! As are apple bobbing, ghosty games etc.

I'd like to do something a little bit different and Halloweeny, so the mums aren't just sitting around talking about nappies etc., but I'm struggling for ideas!

Can somebody suggest some fun things we can do please.......

ermmm...assume this is more for the benefit of the mums and dads?! In which case, drink and eat cake.

Could you make some sensory items for the dc's to try and feel? Such as witches snakes, (spaghetti & food colouring), cobwebs (cotton wool), crunchy cretins(sitting in a basket of rice crispies) etc
sorry my imagination isn't up to much at moment- will try to think of more halloween themed items

Just make it a party for the mums - as you say, the babies are really too young for games and food etc. Put on some music, turn the lights down, few decorations if you want (carved pumpkin etc) and some food and drink for the mums.

you could make it a fancy dress party, I believe it is possible to dress a baby as a pumpkin/witch etc if anyone can be arsed...

Just put some toys on the floor and relax!
