Menu for Christening on Sunday is:

A baked ham
Chicken drumsticks
Goats cheese tart * for the veggies
Three bean salad
Green salad
Potato gratin*
Home baked bread rolls

(* made by M&S- d'ya think I am mad? )

I have to make 2 cakes as Das birthday following day so one fruit and one chocolate- do I nee to do dessert?

Also do I need to provide wine? vast majority won't be drinking as driving / kids. Or should I get a wine box and drink the rest that night as a reward?????

I think we are having only cake, but dessert(s) for the kids. We are having red/white and 'fizzy' wine, suprising how much you get through!

Am wondering if I should just do a large bowl of choccy mousse for the adult, and jellies for the kids?

If it's a do at home i'd stick to just cake, last time we had so much left over!

agree that if there is cake no desert needed

we did tiers of cupcakes for dd2 and had a full cake as well so I didn't do desert and nobody expected it

DH thinks cake too is enough

thank goodness!
