My daughter is going to be 12 and in the Jewish religiion its quite a specuial occasion called a batmiztvah. the tradition is to hold a party which is often a bit more extravagant than the usual girls get together.
WE are hosting a party at home and doing the catgering ourselves thus have a bit to spend on entertainment. We have spoken to lots of enternainment companies and dd is quite keen on a bollywood or chinese themed party. It sounds like a lot of work to me and also wrorried that entertainment may leave the girls cold and go over tgheir heads or be inappropriate.
Has anyone everyh thrown this type of party - even for adults and can give me any pointers/tips?
