Naming party - what's the etiquette?

Been invited to a naming party for a baby who will be 4 mo on the day.

But have never been to one before so just wondering what the etiquette is... do we treat it as we would a christening, ie dress posh, bring present?

Feel woefully ignorant, and my old-fashioned etiquette books don't feature such a new-fangled invention

yes treat it as a christening

it's just a different form of celebration of birth really without the mystical hoo-hah

dress posh, bring present

dress posh-ish
don't worry about a present
