Snob alert - is there a "nice" alternative to paper plates and plastic cutlery?

Dont wanna wash up for 30 people plus havent actually got that many plates. But there must be something a bit better than the usual plates that soak thru and cutlery that snaps? Any ideas?

ASDA do a great range of plastic plates that cost about 75p for 4 and they also do matching cutler - might cost a bit more than paper plates but you have them forever and they are great for parties and every day use for kids

Cool. Was going to hire wine glasses from offy but Asda have four for a pound so thought might as well buy a few packs of those. Didnt see plastic plates, will have another look.

I bought cheapo white plates and cutlery from Ikea. It's now in the loft and is lent to friends/family when required.

janmoomoo · 05/08/2008 21:51

Hey Nutterly those look fab and mightily reduced and would be a great talking point.
