Any suggestions for a Wizard of Oz party?

for dd's 6th birthday

I have bought a life-sized dorothy and toto cut out (which flew back from Boston with us at the weekend!)

Can't seem to find any themed stuff here though

Yellow crepe paper 'road'?

buy lots of green crepe and cover everything! emerald city.

dd is going to paint a yellow brick road!

Face painting as characters/flying monkeys?

the children could make the yellow brick road with sponges of yellow paint... or your dd could make it in advance?

Pin the xxx on the scarecrow (I can't remember what he was looking for?)

You could have a fun competition where the children have to dress up one of them as a scarecrow, or the witch.

You could have a treasure hunt type thing. Hide a certain amount of metal objects, furry objects and grass/twigs. Divide into three teams(Lion, Scarecrow and Tin Man) and first team to find all their items wins!
