children's entertainer for 2nd b'day party...help greatly needed

I don't know where to start looking for this. We are in Kent and I am planning madly in advance for DD party towards the end of the year as I know they get really booked up.
It won't be a huge party ( but we have decided to have it at home with some kind of "entertainment" but I haven't got a clue what kind of games/ performances they do or where to start looking for a reputable one. Can anyone help?

For a 2 year old's party I wouldn't go overboard with the entertainment personally. They will probably be happy with a bit of singing and dancing, and throwing balloons about. Even pass the parcel is quite hard work with 2 year olds! I live in London so don't know anyone in your area, but when my DS1 was 2, we had an entertainer we'd seen at library parties, who sang a few songs and did balloon animals. We hired a hall and brought along lots of DS's toys. Children played for a bit as everyone was arriving, then had the "show", then tea, then bit more play and it went really well. Good luck!

How about a monkey music party or tumble tots party. Two year olds may struggle if the entertainment isn't interactive.

Wouldnt worry about an entertainer for a few years. Pass the parcel and non-competitive musical bumps for games. The rest of the time have songs they can dance to and balloons to play with, maybe a treasure hunt for nursery rhyme characters or hunt the slipper type game. Or no parties until they are 5 if you are me!

you need a bit of free play and then tea and a good cake. that is all they want, honestly.

I wouldn't even bother with pass the parcel, they just don't get it at that age. you could do a simple treasure hunt with sweets, though, that would be popular...

PPH is right - at this age they just want to play. I wouldn't even bother with pass the parcel - most of them will just look dumbfounded. They don't want party games, they won't sit still for an entertainer - they just want free play and a bit of cake.
