I was thining of something pink and plastic like a dolls house, or mega bloks as she seesm to like building, but a girly version.

when DS turned 2 we got him one of those hard plastic playhouses for the garden from Argos, and it has been a good buy.

The balance bike is an excellent idea - think I may get one for DDs christmas, wish I'd got DS one when he was younger.

DD1 got this

We had to hire a crane to get it into the house and take out her balcony and huge french window to get it into her bedroom.

Here you go.
Should add that dd has only recently (2yr5mo) started using it, but I still think it was a good choice.

posieflump, how did you guess?! Me and katie are like that BFFs.

DD1 doesn't like it though so Fifi de La Ruex the dog sleeps in it now.

Trike.
It had a tall handle thing at the back so we could push it, but she learned to pedal pretty quickly.

My dd was 2 2 weeks ago.

She got a trike (not interested)
A toy kitchen (minimal interest)
Duplo (very interested)
Duplo supermarket which she loves. It has really cute bricks on it like little boxes of groceries and she plays with it all the time here
