my cleaner has let me down, she said she would come in and clean the kitchen for me at least. now she isnt. i am exhausted from the marathon cooking session last night. and i dont want to be exhausted turing this party.

Can you call in some help from friends, or family? Main thing is kitchen and toilets, and living areas - ignore bedrooms.

where is your dp/dh?

switch the PC off and get cleaning
make sure dh is doing his bit either by helping or taing the kids out

Call friends and call in for emergency favours. Failing that just get a load of bin bags and start loading.

Once that's done clear all the surfaces- will help clear the panic fog for you!

i got off computer once my coffee was finished, and literarlly, just started cleaning. dh definitly did his bit, and he called in my sis and bil, who also got going with things.
