Anyone normal would be thrilled (and if it's a woman, same goes for a lovely bouquet). It doesn't last, so it's done with soon and doesn't add to their clutter and there's not a risk you're sending them a book/CD/etc that they don't like, or that they have already.

Champagne might work....but it's not quite what I had in mind (tho' as I don't know what I have in mind that's a bit picky of me )
