Wholesome hen do/baby shower ideas

I recently attended a baby shower where someone bought two paint your own mugs, one painted with “Mum” and the other with “Dad” and each person in the shower painted a little picture on the mugs as a momento, and they were then gifted to the parents

I thought that this was a really cute idea, so I’ve started a thread so that we can share different ideas for other people - fire away with the wholesome things you’ve done on a hen do or baby shower!

I helped with planning a baby shower for my SIL and was responsible for a video that would be playing at the background. We ended up having a very cute baby shower slideshow with photos of her and my brother (some childhood pics included) and a song Never Grow Up by TaylorSwift as she's a huge fan of hers. She loved it so much she even re-watched it, and she also says she'll play it to their DD once she's older.

I booked a sewing workshop for SIL baby shower and we all created a cloud / rainbow / sun etc and they were then made into a mobile for the baby. It was a lovely day and we had a playlist, and some cakes and tea.

I love those two ideas, thank you! Will add them to the list!!

Similar to the sewing theme, we made homemade bunting with each of us decorating a triangle to hang in the nursery which looked really good at the end and actually a lovely activity too!

what happens to the mugs when you put them in the dishwasher?
