Kids beach party ideas

Dd is 7 the first weekend in September, I've asked her what she wants to do thinking I could book something and invite her friends before the summer holidays and she has said a beach party.

We live about 10 minutes drive from a beach and weather might be ok, so it's definitely possible to ask some friends to go there with us, but how do I turn it from a coordinated outing to a party?

We did this a few times when DS was young as also live close to a beach. We had a little gazebo and did a BBQ with sausages. We had a Hawaiian theme one year. We also organised beach games like boules, did egg and spoon and sack race and still did pass the parcel! I miss those days.. 😊
