Just after some opinions really..at our wedding we are considering having BBQ type food. Just wondered if anyone has done this and if it went down well with guests?
It's certainly to our tastes but obviously have a wide range of guests!!

@ThatLemonBear

ive been to a wedding with the same, was perfect - except the caterers hadn’t brought enough vegetarian food, ended up nipping to a local Spar for an egg sandwich for dd (we had replied saying 3 meat one vegetarian)

We had a sit down meal and then a hog roast in the evening - it was fab!

So long as you bear in mind what people will be wearing, it sounds great.

Went to a wedding last Saturday - they had 120 guests and they got caterers from local Indian restaurant. Choice of 3 curries, samosas, rice, poppadoms and relish. Self serve with staff to help. Long tables set with name places etc. Delicious, and really efficient serving too.
Highly recommend as an alternative.
