Just noticed in one of the papers that 25 years ago this week "True" by Spandau Ballet was number 1, and twas that exact record that was playing at the party where I had a slowie dance to it, which then led to my lost cherry.

Ah.... memories! LOL

sorry - had to log off to go out! I was the tender age of 15. (and a bit of a slapper from then on for a few years [shame]!)

Actually, had a horrible thought last night - I'm not 40 for a few weeks, so I started thinking I'd been a complete slapper and lost my V when I was 14 but I think "True" was maybe No1 for a fair while...???

Don't spose a few weeks matters anyway

Moomin I very kindly checked and according to Wikepedia "True" was released in March 1983 so it's does look as though you were a complete slapper and not just an ordinary slapper after all

How long was it in the charts for? AGES I spect- that's what happened in them days. and I remember it being OK weather AND he asked to meet me after school the next week and I was wearing my school summer dress (looking like a complete freak show no doubt - blue paisley dress and straw boater )

So I'm sticking with 15.
