stop it

you're wallowing

and you're getting yourself upset

the people who can't come can't come for a reason!

and what has happened to the band?

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 27/04/2008 15:00

ohhh, poor you!

It's probably because you are so popular, that they think everyone else will be going, so it won't matter that they can't make it.

Unfortunately, everyone thinks the same.

I'd come

(but nobody ever invites me anywhere... now that's being unpopular

KatyMac · 27/04/2008 15:01

Well if you will book your party for BH SUnday what do you expect??

lots of people go away for the BH weekend and you have planned it slap bang in the middle of it.

Why not replan it for the following week and how many have actually cancelled??

Feeling sad for you tho......

KatyMac · 27/04/2008 15:06

you're not unpopular, katymac.

I promise.

tis a bugger about the party though.

Spidermama · 27/04/2008 15:10

Aw Katy you're not having much luck with this are you.

Get a DJ and stop thinking about the people who can't make it and start thinking about those who can. I like smaller numbers because it feels more exclusive and you get the chance to chat to everyone.

My 40th was the biggest wash out ever. We were supposed to be going to Venice just dh and I. We ended up doing a trip to London with all four kids. The low point was sitting in a posh restaurant and noticing a pool of Diahorrea building up under my baby son's high chair as we ate.

So whatever happens, you'll have a better time than that.

May I be the first to wish you a happy birthday and if it's guests you/re looking for feel free to email me.

sighkotika · 27/04/2008 15:24

aww i feel your pain, same thing is happening to me, except its my wedding i thought it being bank holiday monday would make it easier for people to attend, but apparently not

KatyMac · 28/04/2008 08:44

Thanks guys

I'm sorry I was so down about it yesterday

Today yet more people have phoned to say no - but I will get over it
