Is 6 too young for a bowling party?

Has anyone had a bowling party where most of the guests are around 6 years old? I am thinking it might be too young, but everyone seems to go for softplay parties and I want to be a bit original

Also, how many do I invite? Can anyone tell me about their bowling party please?
TIA

My ds had a bowling party last year for his 6th birthday! Really good party, - and cheap!

I would suggest not having 6 per lane, maybe maximum of 5 as they get bored waiting their turn. They have ramps for them to push to balls down and they also put the sides on the alley up so you can't go in the gutter.

They're certainly not too young - we did one this year - but you may feel too old. By Christ it's intense. They have TVs showing MTV over every lane. every lane. imagine.

bowling parties are awful ( or the ones that dd has been to have been) there are usually several other parties going on at the same time, horrendous loud loud music through the pa system - just noisy chaotic places.

DD has been to several bowling parties and has enjoyed herself each time. She is only 5.

However we have a bowling alley on camp which is much smaller than the big ones in towns. You get the place to yourself and there's no MTV blaring as other have described. All fairly calm!

We had one this year for DS's 7th. I think the word "intense" sums it up but he children loved it. We had twn chldren altogether (including DD and her friend) so that was 5 per lane. I would only do one game - they have had enough by then. And make sure that you have throat lozenges for afterwards.

that would be 10 children, obviously.

Our bowling place is only small - not a mega bowl type place.
