Hi all, would really appreciate some advice from fellow parents here, particularly those with children who have additional needs or ASD. I am starting an online shop selling children's party accessories, which I'm really excited about, but I'm trying to make the range as inclusive as humanly possible. I have an Aunty who has a lot of additional needs and has the mental age of approx a 7 year old, and loves all things children's party, so I'm acutely aware that my range will be catering to people like her who do not strictly fit into the target market. So it's important to me to not leave anybody out of the conversation! My child also does not have any additional needs so I'm aware I'm lacking knowledge in this area.
What have your children struggled with when they get invited to parties? What have you struggled with when arranging parties? Have you got any suggestions of things you wish you could buy or tips on how other parents can cater for all children? I'm all ears! Thank you x
