Does anyone have a clue about flowers and colours and decorating?

Firstly I have to apologise and look shameful for anyone who saw my thread on the dress. It's all gone quite wrong and now the dress that was, is not. So thank you all those who were lovely about it but now I'm buggered again. Aaargh.

So never mind, but hey, look there is this dress which I think is lovely if I can get it - which is proving difficult.

Aaanywaaay.

I know nothing about flowers and would like a clue. I'm thinking orchids? or erm, honeysuckle???? Can I have a hint please?
I want to decorate my house and tent in garden, and maybe a flower in my hair (I think I sang that last bit).

yes this is a wedding party thing, please ignore and hide if it makes you vomit

Are you looking for some thing that will match the dress? What time of year are you getting married?

S1ur · 21/04/2008 19:37

Ish to matching dress, not necessarily but def matching if something for hair. June. Just need to give ideas to florist on Wednesday.

S'okay I don't blame you. This is a dull dull topic. I am bored and its my question. In fact I suppose I was hoping someone else would find this sort of mind-numbingly mediocre thread interesting and do my homework for me.

But apparently you are in fact as ignorant as me about what colour a farking lady in the mist is and indeed utterly utterly indifferent.

Good. Me too.

It's not as dull as my winter coat thread last night slur.

fwiw it might be tricky trying to match a pink with your dress (it's lovely btw), it's a very subtle oystery pink isn't it?

what about conrasting with some soft sagey greeny foloiagey things. As you can see I know not a lot about flowers.

Beautiful Dress.

Agree re: greens and blues - maybe duck-eggs and teals?

Also - v soft pink roses.

LaDiDaDi · 21/04/2008 22:16

That dress is absolutely beautiful.

No ideas on flowers though!

S1ur · 21/04/2008 22:18

Aw bless you both.
I like blue, hmm it doesn't help that my knowledge of flowers is limited to a child's ladybird book.

Cornflowers are blue. Yes I know that. But I think that's probably too bold a colour right?

Sage green is a colour I love and feel much more at home in than pink, dusky or otherwise. So that means leaves and stuff? Got it.

what about lavender? Peonies?
