13th birthday party ideas please

What have your children done to celebrate their birthday with their friends as they have got older? My daughter's birthday is the week before Christmas so it needs to be inside! She isn't keen on any or has done them recently: swimming, ice skating, go karting, trampoline park, inflatable park, bowling, shopping, sleep over, film night, Lazer tag, escape room. Thank you!

Does she want a party, would she prefer a night away with you or bring one friend? What is she into?

• Spa day: facials and painted nails, mocktails, pizza/takeaway.
• Meal out with her friends

It’s such an awkward age! It’s so young to be out doing things alone but they’re not kids at the same time…

Thank you. I'll have a think about her hobbies and see if one of those gives us some inspiration. Too old for parents, too young for more grown up celebrations, tricky age indeed!

Might not work if she doesn’t like the idea of Christmas (bring so close to her birthday) but what about sleepover involving making gingerbread houses, Christmas crafts and a Christmas movie?

Concert tickets or theatre with a friend?

My son is 13 a few days after Christmas. We've booked the Harry Potter studio tour.
