4 year old girl gift

Can any one suggest what I could get for a 4 year old girl as a birthday gift please?

Is this a relative / someone close or a preschool party?
My DD who's that age is really in to her dolls (babies, barbies etc), loves drawing so has been given those big briefcase pencil sets, obsessed with princesses so loves dress up or anything that sparkles and those annoying little nail polishes. If it's for someone close - I would say dolls or some kind of 'imaginative play' toy like a cash register etc and if it's a preschool party then you can find a lot of the above for about a tenner in any toy shop x

I’d say something crafty that gets used up- like an animal sticker book, some play doh, a paint your own ceramic from hobbycraft, magic sand, a colour in canvas, new pens, paper and sellotape, a box of pom-poms, lolly sticks, glitter glue etc.

Dont go down the sexiest “Barbie and pink shit” unless you know for sure that’s her preference.

I had a similar dilemma shopping for my niece recently. I wanted something fun but not just more plastic toys. I ended up getting a cute craft kit and a set of personalized storybooks because they were on her gift list with MyRegistry and she absolutely loved them.
