6th birthday at soft play - too old?

DD 6th birthday in Nov, we didn’t do a big party last year as she’d just started school but she’s had so many class parties I want to do one for her too this year.

i need it to be as minimally stressful as possible (!!) so going to hire a venue. Soft play is most obvious, most reasonable price wise. But she’s been to soooo many soft play parties. Will 5/6yr olds be too big for soft play?

Budget is an issue as is my own mental load - yes I could prob be more creative, hire a hall or something - but honestly I have not got the capacity to think about it, this is by far the easiest option.

She will love it either way I think.

It depends on the venue but if the venue caters to that age, then it's suitable! I'm sure they'll all have a ball!

If she’d like it just go with it.

Definitely not too old. I did the thoughtful creative birthday parties for 5 and 6 then at 7 I went for soft play and it was wonderfully easy.

My son's 12th birthday was at a soft play. Admittedly it was a very large one, but we hired it for two hours private use in the evening and invited 20 kids who had an amazing time!

Forgot to add, he would have loved to have done the same for his 18th but that big one closed in Covid times and the others are sadly not insured for adult only parties.

How could you be too old for soft play at 7??!

DD asked for soft play for her 11th birthday. She and her friends had decided that they wanted a "last ever" soft play, so that's what they did. We had to go to a neighbouring town though in case anyone saw them😂

My DC have gone to - and enjoyed - soft play parties up to 9 or 10
