My daughter's birthday is coming up but as she's summer born most her friends are away. I'd still like to do something's for her but struggling for ideas. She'll be 9 and probably two of her friends can come. We might do a proper party in sept when more of her friends are around. Any ideas on how to still make it special? Thanks.

Trampolining
If parents allow, trip to nail salon, they don't even have to have acrylics just paint their natural nails with design etc.
Cinema and a pizza
Laser tag

My son just turned 10 and it was difficult because all of his friends were unavailable for his birthday, that time of year when everyone's on holiday! we took a friend to the arcades and had KFC which he really enjoyed. He had a choice but that's what he wanted to do. Other than that, you could maybe go bowling? One of those pamper experiences getting nails done etc? A sleepover? Cinema? A day out somewhere like the zoo if they're into that and maybe a meal afterwards? Kids indoor play places?

Have you asked her what she would like to do? There's tons of things what would work well with a smaller group but obviously it depends on their interests.

Cinema would be perfect, followed by McDonalds or similar.

Thanks for the suggestions. We have had a chat with her but I think she'll be a bit disappointed that so many people are away so was trying to think of something really nice for her to make up for it. Found a salon near us that does pamper sessions but she might like bowling and a meal out with her friends. I will ask her. Thanks.

Definitely ask her what she would like to do! I know how disappointing it can be at their age when no one is available. But hope she has a wonderful birthday.
