Need to find restaurant to celebrate DH's 40th a week on Saturday. Left things a bit late as originally we thought we would have gone away on hols but cannot go for various reasons. Will be a small group - 6 adults and 4 kids (2 are toddlers) - so need restaurant that will be happy to have kids. DH is a foodie so would like some nice food (tho does not have to be highbrow). Central London venues preferred altho bordering areas will be considered. Help pleeease!

Alastair Little on Frith Street (Soho), very good food and not at all pretentious. Rustic Italian influences.

Used to love going to [http://www.timeout.com/london/restaurants/reviews/212.html Lemonia] in Primrose Hill when I lived in London years ago. I didn't have kids then but it strikes me as the kind of place that would love kids (and which kids would love). I heard it's all super trendy these days so maybe it would be hard to book, I don't know.

Afterwards you can go for a walk in the park with the kids or grab a cone from Marine Ices. My perfect day

Passione, Genaro Contaldo's place.
Don't know about wee ones, you could always give them a bell.

Thanks for suggestions. In the end think we will go for a place in Swiss Cottage called Singapore Garden.
