We found somewhere that did a package for £2000 - that was ceremony, wedding 'breakfast'(for 40) and disco & buffet afterwards (for 100). It included wedding favours & a glass of champagne per person for the toast AND a 3 tier wedding cak as well.
It was a beautiful day.
Instead of presents we asked parents to do other wedding things such as car hire, suit hire, flowers & balloons
That was in Salford rugby club but there might be similar packages in your area

I am in a similar situation together for 8 years but now don't have loads of cash

We are are having a ceremony at hotel but just the ceremony and use of grounds for photos then we are going onto a function room at a sports club, this is mainly because they have a lovely garden joined to the room for all the children to play (hopefully

It is so diffucult and as soon as you mention the word wedding everyones prices go up 50%, i find it hard to beleive anyone has the sort of money these people ask
