You lovely Mumsneters have sorted out my DH's birthday for me, so now please help me with DS2.

He will be 5 next week, and we are stumped.

He want's a real sports car or a dog (He is sooooo not getting either )

Last year he wanted a £7.99 light sabre, which we got him and he was thrilled.

I think a gold fish. DH disagrees, but hasn't come up with an alternative.

Any ideas?

LynetteScavo · 07/04/2008 12:45

No, no not a ds lite.... DH and I are refusing (on complex grounds). And we would have to get DS1 one, and he's had his b'day.

Already has remote control car.

DH says no to swcooter, as wealready have too many vehicles.

don't say no to a scooter as too many vehicles - they are very different, and fold so don't take up much space. He'd love one.

Something for outside on the basis that the weather is supposed to be getting better? Basketball net? Kite?

we had the same dilemna last month. we ended up getting a wooden castle. it all comes apart so storage isn't too much of a nightmare, and means it can be rearrnaged each time for even more play. it's quite sturdy so he can take it out into the garden or keep it in his bedroom. the best bit it is, i never knew he had such an imagination!, it's been the knights castle, the star wars empire building, his scooby doo HQ, everything ...... if it helps, we got it from www.funkymoose.co.uk and used a discount code (FMTT08) which got us money off and free delivery. good luck, Tilly
