Went to a wedding in Hungary a few years back and were strongly advised by the happy couple not to consider driving (general time factor plus Hungarian approach to road safety, I think).

Hungarian wedding receptions go on all night and involve truly stupendous amounts of food, so wear something expandable around the waist .

Lol littleapin, have you spilt your wine on the PC? thankyouBlue Flower.

I don't hink the driving would be too bad but it will take a couple of days, DP is insistant that we drive when we go back.

The food part is most definatly true and very tasty

I do understand the date if that helps. It's the same day I was supposed to have gotten married but have just postponed. 26/4/08.

I'm not sure when DP will be home but it shouldn't be too much longer.

Ooh hurry up Mr Purpleflower. I'm all intrigued. That's a very wordy wedding invitation.

purpleflower · 13/03/2008 20:43

He will be 15 minutes.

Hes just gone back out to pick up our chinese

purpleflower · 13/03/2008 21:36

With love, we would like to invite you and your family to our wedding which will be held at the town hall/registry office of AJAK (its a town) and then the local greek catholic church followed by the recepiton. 26/4/08 at 4pm

The bit at the bottom is asking you to meet at 2pm at Kisvarda Parish Bull Vendeghaz

That is a very rough translation as it is very hard because the languages are so different. If there is anything else you need to know just ask

mummyplonk · 13/03/2008 21:40

You are a star Mr Purpleflower thank you very much.

Remember to take your phrase book www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_ve37gVwxw (with many apologies to real Hungarians).

Mouselady · 14/03/2008 17:51

But what will happen at the Kisvarda? Is it anything to do with bulls?
Remain intrigued. May I come - I have a VW camper and could do much of the driving.
