Hi,
We are taking our dd to a kid-friendly restaurant for her birthday with 8 other girls. I would like to give them all a little bag of goodies to play with at the table to keep them busy. Does anyone have some bright ideas? I don't think for a minute that they'll want to sit there and do colouring in but I just thought it would be nice if they had something fun to do or look at or play with whilst they are sat down.
Any ideas very welcome!!
Thank you
amandella

How about setting them a challenge to spot something in the restaurant for each letter of the alphabet/letter of the birthday girl's name or something? They could do it in threes, with a prize for the three who get the most.

Or they would probably quite like little cocktail umberellas, and straws to "mess" with whilst waiting for their meals.

Other than that, they probably would just want to talk.

How about giving everyone a card with a famous person/occupation on and they have to try and work out who each other is by asking questions they can only answer with yes or no?
