Bouncy castles for birthday party

Hi all,

It’s my son’s 7th birthday coming up soon and my husband and I are looking to hire a bouncy castle for our garden. I’m a little bit uncomfortable with hiring bouncy castles as i’ve heard horror stories with children suffocating but my husband says i’m being hysterical. Has anyone had experience with hiring bouncy castles? Where did you hire them from and roughly how much do they cost? Any reliable suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Olivia

Get a bouncy slide, not a bouncy castle.

WIth a castle they are all jumping in every direction and there will be banged heads.

With a slide, they are all going in the same direction and you have far fewer collisions and tears in my experience. Plus all that climbing up knackers them out

In the kindest way I agree you're maybe overthinking it. They cost less than £100 to hire and someone will come and blow it up for you and take it away again. Just google "bouncy castle hire" and I'm sure you will get a lot of hits.

I agree with pp you are overthinking.

It's worth making sure there's one parent earmarked to supervise to calm down any excessive rowdiness, but aside from that it's just one of the many kids' activities which will probably end in a few bumps but nothing more serious when sensibly managed.

Ask on local Facebook groups for suggestions.

Thanks for your response! I think you are right, a slide would be a better suited option for our situation.
