Pressies to take on hol for 4 year old birthday

We are on holiday for my ds 4th birthday. I need some ideas on pressies to buy him that I can take with me in my suitcase

I guess it depends on the sorts of things he likes, but would choose various little things which would double as entertainment on holiday. You could always leave a bigger present at home for him for when you get back. e.g little lego or knex set; racer cars (the ones that go on their own); puzzle books; pocket kite; small jigsaw; cardboard glider etc etc.

tanks ladette for ideas. Wondered if anyone else had any ideas. He is into things like building stuff and power rangers. I have got him a couple of power rangers so don't want to buy him anymore

What about Geomags - magnetic pieces you make things with. Come in a small box. Lego is always good. Anything in the Klutz range - activity books with everything included (Google them), lots of indepedent toy shops sell them.

kidskinex - you can get wee ones that would be great for travelling, similar to idea of geomag but slightly different
bought them for friend ds last year for 4th birthdy and he loved them

also are you going? we were in spain for nephew's 5th birthday and just got him stuff for in the water/beach - he was just delighted with the fuss
