I need help with ideas for an older gentleman with a milestone birthday this year.

He's terminally ill, not end of life but practically housebound.

Unable to drink alcohol because of medication, can’t get to restaurants, has a Netflix subscription, has a coffee machine, has a phone and tablet.

Has anyone been in a similar situation and been able to come up with a gift that’s been special and well-received? Budget approx £100-£150.

An audible membership?

That’s my go to for these situations

Or, what about making a lovely photo book with one of those online companies? We use Popsa and they’re gorgeous. You could put special family members, special occasions etc in there

Does he miss restaurant food? There are still a few places doing restaurant meals in a box. I like Simon Rogan at home for a treat.

My Dad loved a really bright LED table lamp for reading by when he was unwell, it also helped him see the buttons on the TV remote/telephone etc.

Photo book or digital photo frame that is simply operated.

Digital radio. My Dad loved listening to Classic FM at night or Talk Radio.
