Hi
We've got our 10th wedding anniversary coming up and I'm trying to decide whether it's the kind of occasion that we could throw a little party for?
Our idea is to invite family and closest friends to our house for drinks and nibbles. Family is huge so it wouldn't be small numbers wise, but low key. Afternoon thing, children invited, nothing formal or fancy. We debated a BBQ, but it would be me having to do the cooking and I don't particularly want to be stood cooking while everyone is here, so we'd do a decent cold buffet.
We're both quite happy with this in principle, but I'm a bit paranoid/anxious that people may eye roll at us involving them in a celebration (I'm an overthinker, so this is a reflection of me and not our loved ones).
Is a 10th anniversary the type of occasion that is suitable to share with loved ones? Or is it something people will 🤔 at and should we just plan something for us as a couple/with our kids?
Thanks 😊
