Daytime and kid-friendly 40th birthday party?

Me and my husband will turn 40 around the same time as our 10th wedding anniversary. Any recommendations please for a party - nothing hugely expensive, but also needs to be something which would feel worth people's while travelling to. Would need to accommodate large numbers and lots of them are young kids / teens. Would like something daytime and not too boozy as my health is fragile. Any ideas please?

I want a daytime do for my 40th have booked the local tea rooms ( they have an outdoor yard). They do afternoon teas I'm going to get a bouncy castle and put some games out for kids. I did contemplate something similar in a local park but they said only kids parties .

Would you be able to do a garden party if you got it catered?

Afternoon tea or a picnic - or if later in the year then a BBQ, I went to. Christmas BBQ years ago and it was great fun!

I used to run events and daytime celebration events that worked really well for children and adults alike was doing a festival theme. (If spring or summer).
Hay bales out and some marquees with tables and Chairs for shade. Bouncy castle for kids, outdoor games, face painting and live music maybe a band/dancing in one of marquees in the evening.
Bbq food worked well or people got pizza vans and ice cream vans to come for a set amount of hours.
They always made for a lovely atmosphere for everyone. Only risk is the weather!

If it's over winter I'd recommend hiring a large hall. Put something like a bouncy castle and balloons out, tons of food and have music playing. Maybe decorate the walls with some photos of you over the 40 years?
