Christening gift for my own child

Hey all
what do I buy my own baby for her christening??
we have quite a big family, I know some are planning jewellery for her as one asked for wrist measurements and one asked if she will be a gold or silver wearer (to which I replied any?).
my parents keep telling me I don’t need to buy her a gift as paying for celebration etc but I still want to get her something special of course that she can keep forever and look back on.

many suggestions of what I should get her?
you can never have too much jewellery right?
or do I get her something else?

I bought my daughters a charm bracelet each for their christening which family have been very chuffed with - charms makebeasy presents for life! It's a link bracelet that has clip on charms, and is long enough to fit them as adults, so I'm hoping it will be something they'll always wear.

I got my LO a Bible and wrote a message inside.

Something else special connected to your faith, such as Rosary beads if you're Catholic.

Also if you're planning to have a photographer or will take pictures, you can make a christening slideshow with them, and rewatch it years later!

soem sort of jewellery would be lovely for when she is older as an never have to much. I think the charm bracket would be nice and I don’t think anyone else will be getting her one.
and the keep sake box is also a great idea. Or a Jewellery box to keep all the jewellery in!

So think I’ll go with a holy cross necklace or charm bracelet. That way once they outgrow the bracelet or necklace, they can still use the pendant or charm.
will do a photo album after, but just from photos the family took. Then use free photo books to make it into an album :)
Think I’ll keep the bible and rosary beads idea for first holy communion! :)
