Hi I want to have a party for my DS 2nd birthday coming up soon.
Any ideas?! Thinking along the lines of soft play centres or indoor parks etc that would suit a range of ages from baby-teens plewse 🙏🏻

At that age it really is for the adults.
For mine, we had grandparents and local Aunt / Uncles round for the afternoon, with a buffet tea and a cake with candles. When they had older cousins / siblings, we did a bit of pass the parcel / singing games so the older ones felt they had been at a party.
If you want a bigger space for more friends with babies, the nicest ones we've been to were when the family hired a local church hall, with permission to use their playgroup trikes, etc, and again, it was low key with a buffet and parents could help themselves to teas and coffees and wine from the kitchen area.

For the first 2 or 3 birthdays we had close family coming for a small get together, but it were literally parties planned just for the adults. We were catching up, some people brought gifts but they asked in advance whether DD needed something, and it was mostly toys.

My opinion is that at this age the birthdays are for adults, so my advice would be to plan it around your adults guests, or, if you are having guests with kids coming, the restaurants with playground might be an option. If you plan on having the whole thing at your place, you can decorate the walls with collages of your DS's photos or play a slideshow of photos/videos with him, it would be very sweet.

As a mum of young adults, I have regrets about their birthdays . Stressful big class parties with relatives from away to host for the day too. If I had my time again, certainly for toddler age birthdays, I would stick a candle in a Victoria sponge and spend the day doing something they love. Have a lovely time whatever you decide x

Soft play centres were always a birthday favourite for our kids.

I booked a soft play for an hour and have told family:friends they're welcome to join

Thanks for suggestions ☺️
