Bouncy castle with slide or not

Has anybody hired a bounce and slide for their child's birthday over a standard bouncy castle? I wil have 20 children at my 5 year olds birthday and can't decide on which one will work best. There will be other games and cars available for them to play with as well.

Definitely with a slide as it keeps them moving around down the slide run round and on again so they are constantly moving in and off rather than all piling on to the bouncy castle which normally ends up in tears and them climbing the walls of the castle.

Slide

Definitely with slide

Thanks everyone! It will be a slide at the front rather than the slide. I was worried they would all be squashed on there but it says the castle is for 8-10 kids and as you have said, they will be getting on and off!

I preferred without the slide as it had much more room to jump. A friend had the one with the slide and the kids were waiting their turn with some taking an age to slide down. Swings and roundabouts really as some kids prefer the one with the slide.

Definitely slide. They will love the one in the picture. I had something similar for my 5 year...they loved it

Always a slide

Also, what are people's opinions on her blowing out a number candle on her cake? With covid I feel like some people are weird about kids blowing out candles on their cake. Seems silly to have her blow out the candle on a cupcake instead! Taking of cakes, do you serve it at the party or send it home in the party bags?

all parties we have had since covid and been to since covid had full candles- trust me the candles become irrelevant when primary school kids are mixing.
Personally I prefer sending the cake home. Bdays are full of sugar I don’t necessarily want DD eating a slice then and there and it’s a good signal to go home- candles, cut, party bag- bye!

Slide is good, candles are fine they share germs in eleventy billion other ways every day so blowing out candles is just a drop in the ocean.

A couple of dozen balloons blown up and thrown around will provide plenty of activity for anyone who doesn't want to be on the bouncy castle. They will thrown them, bounce them, bat them around, balance them on their heads, stick them between their knees, have a balloon battle. It's honestly amazing how much a balloon can entertain a 5 yr old.

the instruction for the castle is right, for 20 kids it's best to have 2 bouncy castles, or you can consider a bouncy castle + a smaller type of Obstacle Course

There isn't room for that unfortunately, but its a 8-10 people castle and I have 8 didi cars, giant lego, giant snakes and ladders on hire and was thinking of some puzzles and and crocodile dentist game for anybody that wants to sit down for a bit!
